About The Event

Get ready for a vibrant, hands-on art adventure with Shanai Kellett, a talented Aboriginal artist and qualified primary school teacher! In this 1.5-hour workshop, kids will dive into the rich world of Aboriginal culture, learning about traditional symbols and stories, many unique to the local Country they live on.


After discovering the cultural significance behind these symbols, each child will create their own canvas painting, expressing their newfound knowledge and creativity. The fun doesn’t stop there—students will have the chance to showcase their masterpieces in a mini gallery walk to show parents and participate in group discussions, celebrating their art and learning through engaging, hands-on activities.
