A club for kids who live, play and dream by the ocean.
The Ocean Thinkers Club is an educational project for children aged 4–12 who live, play and dream by the ocean.
January 2025 marked a huge milestone for Ocean Thinkers, as we officially launched the Ocean Thinkers Club! What began as a simple idea to spark curiosity, connection, and care for our oceans quickly grew into a vibrant community of 150 children stretching from Brisbane, down the east coast to Sydney and Melbourne, and all the way across to Adelaide and Tasmania.
The project aims to help children develop a deeper understanding of the ocean and the important role it plays in our lives, while introducing them to the ways they can contribute to its future.
We believe that ocean literacy can begin at an early age. By learning about the ocean through stories, activities, creative projects and exploration, children can build knowledge, curiosity and a sense of connection with the marine environment.
How it works
The Ocean Thinkers Club provides children with six mail-outs over a 12-month membership. Each mail-out explores an aspect of ocean literacy and includes age-appropriate activities, information, stickers and other surprises designed to encourage learning and creativity.
The activities are intended to be explored at home, with younger children potentially needing some assistance from a parent or carer.
Supporting ocean conservation
The Ocean Thinkers Club is also connected to ocean conservation. Net profits from memberships are redistributed to support Australian ocean conservation.
In this way, the project combines ocean education for children with practical support for organisations and initiatives working to protect Australia's marine environments.

How does it work?
01.
We collaborate with creatives, marine biologists and local communities to deliver engaging and inspiring collateral for kids across Australia.
02.
We send physical mail to excite, inspire and educate our Ocean Thinkers. Making sure they are part of the ongoing solution and impact.
03.
We drive social campaigns and events to raise awareness, funds and seek co investors to support the kids and grow our impact.
04.
We redistribute funds raised from all club memberships to increase ocean literacy in Australia and support aligned projects, helping to achieve long term environmental results.
